The North Dakota Athletic Trainer's Association (NDATA) is a non-profit organization of Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainers. Certified athletic trainers provide quality health care for athletes and those engaged in physical activity based on specific tasks, knowledge and skill acquired through a nationally regulated educational processes. Certified athletic trainers are employed in professional sports, colleges and universities, high schools, clinics and hospitals and corporate and industrial settings.

Joe Kroeber has been involved with athletic training for over thirty years. He's worked with athletes as a coach and an athletic trainer. Joe has been involved with the North Dakota Athletic Trainers' Association, North Dakota Licensure Board, Mid-American Athletic Trainers' Association and National Athletic Trainers' Association.

Joe is well respected for his athletic training services in North Dakota . He was our state association's first President and Chairman of the first Licensure Board of Athletic Trainers. Joe testified in the North Dakota House of Representatives and the North Dakota Senate's State & Federal Committees to get our Licensure Bill for Athletic Trainers. He has served in the North Dakota House of Representatives for five legislative sessions.

Jamestown High School was home to Joe for twenty-eight years. He developed a Student Athletic Training Aide Program. Many of Joe's student athletic trainers went on to become Athletic Trainers, Doctors, Nurses, Physical Therapists and Emergency Medical Technicians.

Joe graduated from Valley City State University in 1965 with a double major in Biology and Health, Physical Education and Recreation. He received his Master's of Science in Education from North Dakota State University in 1969. Joe and his wife, have (#) sons and (#) daughters.
